Grandma Dieker had taught me to fish by the time I could walk. She had her "Big Pond" on the farm that she fished the most, and it was full of large mouth bass and even home to 2 (that I know of), 30 plus lb. flathead. All you needed was a pole and a couple extra hooks in your hat. You caught grasshoppers in the pasture you had to walk through to get there. Grandmas ashes now rest in this pond and there is nowhere on earth she would rather be.
