Fishing Information

I love fishing for Salmon,Bass, and Perch. I have a nice sized pond that holds Perch, Bass, Channel Cats, Many kinds of sunfish, and lots of minnow sized unknown fish. I am just starting to learn to tie flies and fly fish which I have been practicing on my pond. I have caught tons of fish on a fly rod including bass,gills,rock bass, and pumkinseed. I once went to the Manistee river and caught a 18 pound King Salmon. I have always wanted to fish for steelheads but I dont know of any good spots to fish for them around central Michigan. Me and my family are planning a trip to Oregon next spring to fish for salmon, trout, bass, and sturgeon in the Umpqua river. The biggest fish I have ever caught was from the Manistee River and it was the salmon I talked about earlier.

Personal Background

I started fishing when I was 5 at Littlefield lake in central Michigan. Me and my father were fishing for gills with very light line,4 pound test when the biggest pike I heve ever seen smacked his small bass spinner and snapped his line.
