A typical day on Roosevelt can mean 3-4 nice trout in the winter. Once in a while you stumble on a non-typical day and pick up a couple limits with a silver or two thrown in! Yesterday, the 20th was non typical. Working the north side, down river from the Sanpoil, trolling a yellow dick nite did the trick. 1.5 to 3 mph, varying it up and basically on the surface 200' back. I use Side Winder Planers and I will even use the downrigger to about 10'. I also use a dodger fly combo and just switch colors until it works. Red or Yellow did the trick. Tight Lines
