Best spot to fish in KS in my opinion for channel and flatheads. Get a boat and fish at the dam in lawrence.

Good fishing for cats, although access is a real problem. The only public spots to fish seem to be in riverfront park in lawrence, and also at the lecompton bridge ( very shallow...bad spot) and at the bidge at Eudora (not bad). Lots of different species, but too much private land along the river.
