Cotter Trout Dock
Looking for some terrific Arkansas trout fishing? Forty to fifty rainbows per day per person is a fairly normal day here on the White River.
Looking for a whole lot of fun, a real getaway, and relaxation all at the same time?
Cotter Trout Dock specializes in just those very things.
We invite you to treat yourself to a day (or several) of fishing, fun and relaxation.
Enjoy an Arkansas you may never have seen before. Our professional guides are homegrown and love to share Ozark tales and folklore with our guests.
We offer White River and Norfork River guided trout fishing float trips, overnight trout fishing camp trips, and fishing and camping trips on the famous, scenic Buffalo National River (approved concessioner by the National Park Service) where you'll land smallmouth bass by day and catfish by night. Camp on a riverbank or on our private 15 acre island at confluence of White and Buffalo Rivers.
A float trip is great for family vacations, customer appreciation and employee reward groups, or just a quiet day spent with a couple of good friends and a professional guide who takes care of all the details.
The cold, crystal clear White River flows from Bull Shoals Dam above Cotter, Arkansas, our starting base. Its chilled waters are perfect for rainbow, brown, and cutthroat trout, as well as providing natural air conditioning that keeps you comfortable even during July and August. The Arkansas White River receives regular trout stocking, plus it has good populations of native trout.
When we say "Float trip", we mean it. You'll drift down the Arkansas White, North Fork or Buffalo rivers at just the right pace for fishing, surrounded by majestic beauty and wildlife. Our guides make sure you see a lot of the river--you don't fish in one small area with us; our normal full-day trip includes a float of at least 14 miles. Other rewards of the great outdoors include spotting white-tail deer, mink, bald eagles, ground hogs, muskrats, cranes, foxes and turtles, all the while enjoying the beautiful sandstone cliffs.
You may choose to enjoy a grand White River, Arkansas fishing tradition that dates back well over 100 years - the Shore Lunch. Our guides aren't only fantastic fishermen who know where the fish are and how to catch them, they're also great riverbank cooks who can lay out a feast in an hour.
A Cotter Trout Dock overnight fishing float trip is a real adventure. When the trout fishing day is over you'll camp on our private 15 acre wooded island. The guides and cook set up camp while you stretch your legs, maybe hiking around the island to the Buffalo River side and taking a dip in the warm water there. Return to camp and enjoy a charcoal-grilled steak dinner; afterwards relax with your friends around the campfire. A true camp breakfasts is prepared to get you on your way to another day of catching fish.
Over the last 50 years we've heard thousands of happy customers claim that our Arkansas Ozarks float trips are unforgettable fun and relaxation. Those who have never fished in their lives come away amazed at the fun they had, and how much they relaxed in such a short time. Seasoned fishers make the same claim. We invite you to come and find out for yourself.
