Ingredients
  • Preferably 3 to 4 lb pike.Fileted & skinned
  • fatty home cured bacon preferably
  • Butter & or Olive oil
  • Pepper/salt/Bread & Butter
  • Lemon or Vinegar
  • Iron frying pan.
Directions
Freshly landed pike , preferably river. Filet & Skin it. Put filets in cold salted water with a dash of vinegar & leave in a cold place until ready to fry'The most simple & tastiest way to cook & eat them especially for breakfast with tea bread & butter in Ivy Cottage Drum Co. Monaghan.
