I'm really glad you have shared this recipe with everyone Jayson because I haven't eaten a better stew. I can't wait until i come over again for another meal. Wayne

I tried this fish stew last night and its very interesting. I think you could replace the beer with white wine, maybe? Just an idea, overall not bad.

Strange meal dude, nice but strange. Couldn't find vb here in the states so I had to use bud!

Wrong Jayson, Wrong. All your cooking methods are wrong, the fish is the wrong type for this stew and I found Carlton Draught cans much tastier although I needed assistance going to bed after 1 bowl of stew.

Hi Jayson,

I to have tried a very similar recipe. I prefer to use wine " preferably from a cask" as I believe this gives the tarpon a much fruitier taste.

Another great fish to try for this recipe is "Taiwanese Barra" a very cheap fish to buy, but beware it tastes nothing like it's Australian counterpart the "Barramundi". In saying this though is does make a really good cat food.

Cheers
