Prep Time:: Less than 15 minutes
Cook Time: 30 to 45 minutes
Cooking Method: Baked
Meal Type: Entree
Main Fish: Halibut
Ingredients
  • Halibut fillets
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 inch thick slice mozzarella cheese
  • Dash of dry dill weed
Directions
Salt and pepper halibut fillets as you like...I'm a big fan of pepper, and recommend a good coat of cracked pepper. Add a touch of garlic powder, or fresh crushed garlic. Bake at 350 deg. until done (about 20 min. for thin fillets, 40 for very thick) Cover each fillet with a nice slab of mozzarella cheese (low fat cheese will NOT work), then switch oven to broil until cheese just begins to brown. Sprinkle with dill, and dig in. Thank me later.
Other Notes
Low-fat mozzarella or the grated stuff just doesn't work...I've tried. Excellent with asparagus and a very-chilled chardonnay. Or a big 'ol beer. That's what I do!
