1. Heat a heavy skillet with 1-inch of oil.
2. Wash fish fillets.
3. Beat the egg.
4. Lightly pepper and garlic salt the fillets.
5. Mix the flour and cornmeal together,add garlic salt and pepper to flour mix and stir to combine.
6. Dip the fillets in egg.
7. Thoroughly cover fillets the breading.
8. Put the fish in hot oil.
9. Cook until golden brown and tender in the middle about 8-12 minutes.
10. Drain on paper towels.
11. Sprinkle lightly with Tabasco sauce.
