Ingredients
  • 1 lb. pickerel fillets cut into pieces
  • BATTER 1/2 c. flour
  • 1/2 c. milk
  • 1 beaten egg
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • SAUCE 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 1 c. water
  • 1/2 c. sugar
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 8 tbsp. ketchup
  • carrot; green pepper; onion sliced
Directions
Dip fish in batter and deep fry until brown. Saute onion, carrots, and green pepper and cook until tender. Add the sauce. Serve with cooked rice.

Simple and satisfying is how I would sum up this recipe. The sweet and sour sauce was amazingly tasty considering the ease of prepartion. A very pleasing presentation with the veggies done in a julienne style served on the rice. Something you would feel very confident serving to friends.
