Nut Crusted Tilapia

Ingredients
  • Tilapia
  • Nut of choice (finely chopped)
  • 5 Spice Powder
  • Egg wash
  • Butter
Directions
The nut of choice should be chopped finely. A blender will work very well to do the chopping. Add a small amount of 5 Spice Powder to the chopped nut to give an Oriental flavor. Dip fish in an egg wash, then nut and spice mixture is patted onto the fish. Fry the fish in butter at a high temperature. We can supply you with the Tilapia and the 5 Spice Powder.

Very good ... just needs more directions. I used (for one filet) 1/2 cup cashews and 1/8 tsp. Five Spice (to taste, might use more). Also grind the nuts up pretty fine. Mix was good ... maybe needed a bit more salt (I prefer seasoned salt). The filet cooked too hot in butter, burned a bit. I suggest 1/2 butter, 1/2 olive oil to reduce burning plus reducing heat to between medium-high and medium.

Really, really good!
