Fishing Information

we were in out first year fishing, and weren't toto good at any thing - let alone tying knots. Hooked the biggest fish i had ever hooked up till that point, but when i pulled, the lure came off the line - i wqs dismayed. we sat there and in an instant, watched the fish swim off into the flooded bush we had just caught him out of - vowing to go home and practice our knot tying. The lure was a fairly large one, so we could easily see the fish swim out of visual contact. While we were sitting there, sort of stunned, feeling badly i lost a lure that was stuck in a fish ( feelng badly for the FISH, not myself), we heard a loud splash, and that same fish leaped out of the water in the EXACT, and i mean exact place he had hit that bait, gave a mighty shake of his head, and shook the bait loose, splashed down into the lake, and swam away....!!!! We were absolutely dumbfounded!!! we paddled over (it was only a couple feet deep there, retrieved the lure, thanked the fish, promtly went home and learned to tie any fishing knot we might foreseeably need!!! we might be beginners, BUT we at least learn from our mistakes!! We were each glad there were two of us there so we could back up each others story when we retell it - sort of amazing, to us anyway.
