Learned to fish with my dad on Lake Erie. We fished for perch and the now extinct blue pike. We would go out at night and the lake would look like a city with all of the gas lanterns lit on all of the boats.

We fished with spreaders, and had double headers as soon as we dropped them to the bottom and brought them up a foot or two. We only kept what we could clean and eat in a weeks time.

Never will we see those times again.
