Fishing Information

when I was 14 I went saltwater fishing with my friend. I live in plymouth massachusettes and there is a jetty where many locals fish. the bait i was using was clams and I casted it outside the harbor. I noticed a swarm of birds diving into the water and they were moving closer and closer to my bait. My pole then started to bounce and i set the hook. But when i set the hook my drag was to loose and i had a huge birds nest.My reel was messed up so i started to pull it in by hand. It felt like my hands were getting ripped off. I finally got it to the rocks after 30 minutes of pullin and when i saw it i noticed it was a blufish, probably about 37 inches. my friend went to the bottom of the rocks with our bucket. Instead of trying to grab the fish he trieed to scoop it with the bucket. The hook was bitten off and the fish got away. that to this day was the biggest bluefish i have ever had on my line.

Personal Background

I am 16 years old and I have beeen fishing for 6 years. I love to saltwater fish because it is more of a fight but if I want to catch alot of fish i go fresh water.
