My favorite fishing story isn't really about fishing itself. It has to do with the experiences of fishing with my older brother, who is also an adamant fisherman. It seems that many times we get together, intended or not, we have an "adventure". These events are to the exclusion of our other fishing partners to whom the exitement comes from hooking on to a great fish and relating the minutia of the event. Yes, my brother and myself have had to hike through wilderness all night because of a failed boat engine, row a few miles to safety with one oar provided by the people that we rented the boat from and negotiate a big lake in a windstorm because our combined DNA didn't make us smart enough to leave a "honeyhole" when we saw a storm brewing!
