Fishing Information

Learned to fish from my parents when I was a kid. Drove cross country for 20+ years and did not have the chance to do much fishing. 16 years ago I got a job driving local for Roadway in Garland, Texas where a co-worker/friend of mine got me started Bass fishing and I've been "hooked" ever since. I now have a Bass boat and get it wet every chance I get. I am a member of a small Bass club and fish tournaments on several north Texas lakes with my 10 year old son.

Personal Background

I have been married to a wonderful woman (whose only flaw is she doesn't like to fish) for 15 years and have 2 daughters and a son. My daughters occasionally like to fish for short periods of time while my son is in the boat every time it goes out. He fishes every tournament with me and is really good at trailering and operating the boat. For a 10 year old he is really good at it. He says that him doing the trailering gives us more time to fish! I am also a free lance cartonist and have illustrated a childrens book and had cartoons published in Hot Rod and Playboy. I also design logos for companies and Bass clubs as well as designing and printing t-shirts etc for schools and Bass clubs and businesses.

Boat Information

Boat name: 1985 Bass Nautique
17 ft Bass boat, Evinrude o/b, Minnkota All-Terrain, Eagle depth finders (2) and between my son and I, about 20 rods/reels and lots of tackle. My son and I extended the front casting deck which is also a storage compartment for more tackle. It was a fun project which we both enjoy using.
