Originally built in 1867, the “Weaverâ€쳌 building as it’s know in the county, was completely remodeled over a four year period starting in 2001. The section of the building on Main St. that originally housed a dry goods store is now the home of Yuba Expeditions, the local mountain bike shop. The third story, originally storage for the store, was turned into a loft complete with a hand made furniture and trim. The back of the building on the river side was converted into a large dining room/ kitchen area. The loft has two gas fireplaces and room for 8 (11 if you use the trundle beds hidden in the wall). The downstairs basement has bike storage as well as a ping pong table. The back of the building is where the mountain bikers meet to catch the shuttle for the Downieville Downhill and the rafters put in to attempt the Maytag rapid.
