We stayed for a weekend at a log cabin at Indian Head Point. We were a group of four and two dogs. The cabin was dirty and very expensive. We payed 320 Dollars for two days total (weekend off season, end of september). We had contacted the owner before we arrived at the cabin that we would like to have a barbecue grill for the week-end. He said that this would be ok and that he would step in Saturday morning to collect the remaining rent. We did not see the owner on Saturday, he was unreachable. Therefore we had no barbecue grill and no possibility of renting a boat. Sunday finally we reached the owner at his home to pay the remaining rent. He opened the door and while he was on the phone with somebody he pointed the remaining bill out to us. He then disappeared into the house, still on the phone. We waited at least 10-15 minutes for him to return. Finally we left very disappointed and we made our decision that we will never return to this place again. There are lots of other cabins out there to rent, which are cleaner, cheaper and where the owners are not as rude.

Stayed in June 2008. Very disappointed at this place. I have stayed at Black Lake before at other cabins and have enjoyed it greatly.. The cabin was dirty, there were hundreds of dead bugs in the shower, sink, floor and stuck in spider webs throughout the whole cabin. We do a trip every year and this place by far has been the worst accomodations ever. The boat we rented was a real piece of crap. The motor would consistantly shut off and not start again. The owner realy did not care about anything except getting or money, and cash is only accepted. I am writhing this so others do not get the same disappointment that me and my friends felt. We work hard for our money and would like to relax in a place suitable for humans. There are many places to stay and I strongly advise to look for another place. Stay far away from Indian Head Point.
