Carp up to 40 lbs can be caught in Medina Lake. Look for the biggest carp in coves with little to no wind and some scattered weeds and sticks.

The majority of the fish will be holding in about 10 to 15ft of water all year. Corn is by far the best bait. Throw some bread and corn into the area you are going to be fishing and this will bring tons of fish into your area. You should use a medium heavy spinning tackle with a smooth drag. Carp are the hardest fighting fish i think. You are going to want to use a 2/0 octopus hook. You can't use a hook too big or they won't take it.

You don't have to set the hook, just place the rod in your rod holder and the carp will just start peeling line off the spool. GOOD LUCK.
