Best place for walleye is north of Pioneer Landing as far up the mouth of the Watauga as you can get in a boat. Fish at night and you may pull in some big cats as well as walleye. Stay in the old river bed across from www.lakecabin4rent.com fish by the cliffs going into the water since the shallows are only good for bream and smaller bass.
