I have been fishing walton lake since 1965. Bank fishing can be good but the best way to fish walton is by boat. I use a 12 foot hi laker, but a small raft works fine. In the evening, try trolling an f-3 frog flatfish along the eastern end of the lake. This is by far the most successful method i have found for this lake. While camped at walton take a map and find allen creek res. This lake has blm access and puts out big brown trout on trolled rapalas in rainbow pattern. good luck!
