This lake is excellent for Largemouth as well as Smallmouth Bass. You can catch the Largemouth from multiple areas from shore. The Smallmouth can be caught from a couple select spots from shore but are caught mostly by boat as most spots from shore are fairly shallow and rarely rocky. The American Eel can be of good size. Although it's not listed on the Mass Wildlife website, I know for a fact that there are also a fairly good supply of Common Carp in this lake. I know of 1 hotspot for them on the Northeast side of the lake; find the drainage pipe on that side. Once there, look towards the middle of the lake and walk about 5-10 yards to your left to an area that has a lot of tall grass and weeds on the land and a pretty steep hill. On a clear, sunny, summer day you can see them all swimming around in front of you about 15-50 feet from shore. Unfortunately, there is really no good options in the ground here for using sand spikes while fishing for Carp, so try to find other means of rod holders if you plan to fish here for Carp.
