Aboard one of the finest fishing vessels available in LAKE MICHIGAN today. My name is Captain Jerry Nied and I would like to welcome you, and personally say thank you for visiting the Spendthrift web site.

Aboard the Spendthrift my goal is 100% customer satisfaction. I want you the customer to know that by choosing me, you are getting some one who honestly believes you get out of it what you put in it ! I am a full time U.S. Coast Guard licensed captain who will give you 110% on every trip. I have fished all over the United States and let me tell you, it doesn't get any better than this!! The waters around Winthrop Harbor are so productive on a month by month basis that this is why I travel to North Point marina. So my customers can have the best opportunity to catch the most fish.

So welcome aboard! Whether you are a native to Chicago or just visiting the Chicago land area, I sincerely hope that you enjoy your stay. Good cost, poor results at best.Two days,5 hours of fishing 18 fish. Fourteen were of decent size four were less than 2 pounds.I reeled in 4 fish in two days, pretty sad,

18 fish in 10 hours, four were less than two pounds. Won't use them again.
