Company Description

Captain John De Mio has been licensed by the United States Coast Guard since 1987. He has been fishing for Striped Bass in Sandy Hook and Raritan Bay for over 25 years, New Jersey's hottest area for trophy Striped Bass. His knowledge of the area and the Striped Bass will make for a successful Bass fishing experience. Fishing the Sandy Hook area with its deep channels and dredge holes also gives our anglers a great opportunity to fish for Weakfish and door mat size Fluke.

The Fish Formula is a 29' Phoenix Sportfisherman powered by twin 270hp crusaders. Equipped with the lastest in electronics which are (2)Icom VHF radios, Furuno colorscope, Raytheon Plotter/Loran, Garmin GPS Chart Plotter, Furuno 24 mile Radar and a Dytek temperature gauge. Her safety equipment includes a 8 man Life Raft, Aqua Meter Sentury Fume Detector, Halon Auto Fire Control System and a EPIRB. The Fish Formula has a surprisingly large interior with both the stand up head and galley located just inside the salon door. The cockpit is wide and free of obstructions and is a well-designed fishing machine which is at home in the back bay or the canyons. We supply very high quality G. LOOMIS light tackle rods matched with PENN GOLD 930/940 reels for all live bait fishing. Our trolling rods are light tackle style, Custom built to tournament quality standards. All tackle and bait included in the price of your trip. Feel free to bring along your favorite tackle.
