Marinated & Grilled Cobia

Ingredients
  • 3 lbs cobia
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/3 cup lemon juice
  • 1½ teaspoons dry mustard
  • 1 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
Directions
Cut fillets into serving size pieces, and place in a bowl. Combine olive oil and lemon juice. Add all remaining spices to oil and lemon juice, and mix. Pour mixture over fish steaks. Marinate for 5 minutes Remove from marinade and barbecue for about 8 minutes over coals (Keep checking, do not overcook!) Turn as necessary, basting several times with marinade. Serve hot off the grill

Git fresh cobia on Monday and tried it with this recepi and was excellent! Would recommend to anyone and e en my wife who does not like fish, had two helpings.

Tried this recipe tonight with a cobia caught Sunday in the gulf of Mexico. It was absolutely delicious! Only change I made was lime juice instead of lemon - only because I had limes and no lemons. Wish I had found this recipe before we had fried the rest of him!

Tried the recipe, it was really good, do not use any extra lemon juice which I did the first time i made it. Serve with a pasta dish using tumeric and a glass of reisling.
