Fishing Information

I took my grandson float tubing on our local lake. He hooked into the biggest perch I had every seen. It was so exciting just to watch him fight the fish and finally land it. He was just five when he caught that "whopper".

Personal Background

I was nicknamed grandpafish by one of my grandsons. He and I do a lot fishing together. I am married to a wonderful woman (one who tells me if its time to go fishing). We are in our 40th year of marriage. We have six childre, five sons and one daughter. We have ten grandchildren all who like to fish. My wife and I are both teachers, she is a reading specialist in an elementary school and I am a Social Studies/ Special Education teacher at an alternative high school. I began fishing at a very young age. Bass fishing is my favorite and only sport. I make many of my own spinnerbaits. I fish a small lake near our home and enjoy spending a quite day in my float tube fishing with spinnerbaits and plastic worms.
