Fishing InformationI was fishing with my wife in our lake and kept feeling a tap with every cast. I was telling my wife, "I am definitely catching this one, I just have to annoy it enoough to get him to strike" Well on the 3rd or 4th cast I hooked it and WOW it felt HUGE. I was reeling it in and it felt like a VW Bug and was struggling. When I got it to the surface I saw to my astonishment, a HUGE over 2 foot diameter Snapping turtle hooked on my lure. Just as I was wondering how I was going to unhook this monster, he spit out the lure and swam away. Personal BackgroundI started fishing at around the age of 4 or 5 with my father. I work in computer technical support. Boat InformationIT is a 14 foot rowboat. I have a Minn Kota trolling motor and my favorite accessory is my anchormate hand crank anchor 'reel'. That thing is awesome. My wife and I use zebco reels because they are easy and maintenance free and our primary goal with fishing is relaxation and FUN not competition.
