Fishing Information

Having started off as a bass fisherman, I learned a lot of techniques that have helped me understand patterns and strategies for catching other species......in particular Muskies and Northerns, simply because I love the part of the country they are in....namely Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Northwest Ontario. I am not as proficient yet with Walleyes. I have fished all over and my favorite bass lakes are Lake Toho in Florida, and Lake Ouachita in Arkansas. My favorite Northern Pike and Muskie lake is Lake of the Woods, with the Chippewa Flowage a close second.

Personal Background

Married for 28 years. 3 sons....1 (19) is a good fisherman (See photos at right). I usually fish more than 25 different lakes per year ! I have dragged my Ranger from Northern Canada to Stick Marsh and Toho in Florida. From Lake Fork in Texas, to Lake Norman in NC. Dale Hollow, Lake Ouachita, and Lk St. Claire have all seen my rig.

Boat Information

Boat name: Ranger 195 DVS
2004 Ranger 195DVS with a 200 Merc EFI (3.0 liter V6), Garmin 240's (bow and console) plus a Garmin GPSMap172C color GPS at the console. GPS is loaded with Fishing HotSpots software for the whole USA. The boat has a 74# Minkota trolling motor, Hamby's Keel Protector, Mercury SmartCraft system, 4 blade stainless prop, and a 3 bank charger, . Boat is white with dark Blue/Gold striping. Carpet is tan. At "top end" she will do about 74mph which is a bit fast for me. I like to run about 50 (best economy too.).
