DRIVING TOUR TO KROG'S KAMP
"On the Kenai River"
Driving south on the Seward Highway
About 45 minutes out of Anchorage you will come upon the Girdwood turnoff. If you take a left on Girdwood Road, you will find Crow Creek. You will continue southward until you see the road directional sign indicating the turnoff to Soldotna and other communities on the west side of the Kenai Peninsula. Once you take the cutoff, you are about an hour away from the kamp.
You will travel through Cooper Landing, pass Kenai Lake, and along the Kenai River.
After you have traversed "the flats", you will come through the community of Sterling. Soldotna is 17 miles further down the road. When you see a stop light, you will know you are at Soldotna. Take a right hand turn at the second light onto the Kenai Spur Highway. About one and three quarter miles up the Kenai Spur Highway, Big Eddy Road cuts off to the left. Exactly one mile down Big Eddy Road on the left is our sign and driveway. Follow the driveway up front to the office and we will get you checked in, get your fishing license and get you settled in. We look forward to seeing you soon and WELCOME to KROG’S KAMP and THE GREAT LAND! Phone 907-262-2671 just in case you need it when driving down.
