The French River
For much of its length, the French River is a broad, tree-lined expanse of open water. It also feature falls, rapids, and steep, narrow gorges. The rugged topography of the Canadian Shield supports more than 450 plant species, some rare. The river's mouth on Georgian Bay provides a wetland habitat for perhaps the one of the largest populations of white-tailed deer in the province inhabits the rocky forests on the southern shores of the French River.
The river is amenable to small-craft navigation and is an excellent fishing spot for: Walleye, Northern Pike, Muskie, Smallmouth and Largemouth Bass , Perch, Channel Catfish, Sturgeon and many varieties of Pan Fish.
Our experienced guides will take you to the best fishing spots and will make your day of fishing more pleasant in every way! He will fillet your freshly caught fish, fry them to a crispy golden brown and serve them with bacon, fried potatoes, brown beans and plenty of freshly brewed coffee.
Boats and Motors only the finest All Boats are safe 16' LUND aluminum fishing boats completely equipped with swivel seats or back rests on all passenger seats, anchor, minnow pail, landing net and life preserving cushions. Comfortable up to 3 adults. Powered by new 2002, electric start 20 & 25 H.P. Mercury outboard motors.
Accommodations
All our private Bungalow has Sundecks, Screened Porch, most with open wood burning Fireplaces, Satellite TV with more than 70 Canadian and US channels, Refrigerator and Coffee Maker. The Bedrooms has private full Bathrooms en sites and are fully equipped with towels. Our bungalows are Spacious, fully carpeted in all Living and Bedrooms with thermostatically controlled electric heat. Our daily maid service cleans the bungalows every day and make sure that the guest has fresh towels and the bedrooms is made. Enjoy your vacation on Sand Beach Lodge Resort.
