From Birmingham
Take US 280 East to Childersburg. Just before Childersburg is the Coosa River bridge. From the bridge, at the second light, turn right onto Talladega County 008 toward Fayetteville. Go to the dead end in Fayetteville, approximately 10 miles. There will be a Chevron on the left and a sign directly in front of you for Pursell Farms. Turn Right onto Talladega County 2 (Talladega Springs Road). The Chevron and another little store are the last stores, so be sure to stop and get what you want, including gas. Follow Co. Rd. 2 past Farmlinks then bear left at the fork (seven sweet gums rd) staying on Talladega Springs Road. Talladega Springs is approximately 3.5 miles from the fork. Continue through Talladega Springs to the Coosa County Border. The road will change to Coosa County 99 and will become tar/gravel. Continue on for 3.5 miles past the county line, past the white church on the left, to the dead end immediately past the church. Turn right onto the dirt road. Go approx 2 miles until the asphault begins again at the Ida Station sign. Continue straight through to the next right which is Mimosa. Follow Mimosa approx. 1 mile to the first paved road on the right, Peckerwood Creek Trail. Turn Right and follow around the left bend past the large satellite dish. Martin's Cove is the 6th house on the right, two houses past the satellite dish, 742 Peckerwood Creek Trail, yellow 2 story house. If you start back up the hill, you've gone a little too far.
From Montgomery
Take US 231 North to US 280 West (toward Birmingham). Once on US 280 West, the first light you come to is the main Sylacauga intersection(food world is on the right). Turn Left onto Talladega County 8. If you get to the Wal-Mart Supercenter on US 280, you've gone 1 mile too far. Follow Co. Rd. 8 which will change into County Rd. 2. Keep straight for total approx. 10 miles to a Chevron on the right in Fayetteville. The Chevron and another little store are the last stores, so be sure to stop and get what you want, including gas. Follow Co. Rd. 2 (Talladega Springs Rd) past Farmlinks then bear left at the fork (seven sweet gums rd) staying on Talladega Springs Road. Talladega Springs is approximately 3.5 miles from the fork.
