Directions: FROM SAN BERNARDINO: (33 miles of mountain to the dam)

Take I-10 East from the 215. Take I-10 to Highway 330 and then to Big Bear Lake turnoff. Highway 330 will turn into Highway 18 at Running Springs. When you reach the Big Bear Lake Dam, signs will direct you to Big Bear Lake or to Fawnskin. Follow the signs to Fawnskin. Go through Fawnskin. About 1 ½ miles past Fawnskin, signs will read Solar Observatory and Camping to the right. This is North Shore Lane. Turn right. The Resort will be ¾ mile up North Shore Lane on your right, marked by twin waterfalls.

FROM REDLANDS, YUCAIPA: (50 miles of mountain-easiest drive-scenic route)

Take the 10 freeways, exiting at Orange/Downtown (Hwy 38). Go straight at the stop light turn left at the light. Take to Lugonia. Turn right. Lugonia will turn into Highway 38. Take through Camp Angels Oaks and Barton Flats. Go over Onyx Summit until the road ends. When the road ends, turn left. This will be Highway 38 also known as Big Bear Blvd. Take to Greenway. There will be a traffic light. Turn right. At the stop sign, turn left. You will be on the North Shore of the lake. Stay on North Shore. Go past Division Dr., the Stanfield Cutoff, the public launch ramp and the Forestry Station. About ½ mile past the Forestry Station, look for the sign that says Serrano Camp Ground and Meadow Edge Picnic Area. There will be a left turn lane. Turn left. The Resort will be on your left, marked by twin waterfalls.

FROM LUCERNE VALLEY: (7.5 miles of mountain-steep with 3 switchbacks)

Take Highway 18 from Lucerne Valley to Highway 38/North Shore Drive. Stay on the North Shore. DO NOT CROSS OVER THE LAKE. Go past Division Dr., the Stanfield Cutoff, the public launch ramp and the Forestry Station. About ½ mile past the Forestry Station look for the sign that says Serrano Camp Ground and Meadows Edge Picnic Area. This will be a left turn lane. Turn left. The resort will be on your left, marked by twin waterfalls. There is a 16% grade with 3 switchbacks this way (7.5 miles of mountain road-you may want to unhook your tow vehicle)

FROM PALM SPRINGS: (7.5 miles of mountain-steep with 3 switchbacks)

Take the I-10 freeway to Indian Ave. Turn right. Take until it dead-ends at Highway 62/Yucca Valley. Turn right. Take to Old Woman Springs Road (the other side of Yucca Valley) Turn left. Take to Camp Rock Road. Turn left. Take until it dead- ends at Highway 18. Turn left. Take to Big Bear Lake. Stay on Highway 18 up to Big Bear Lake. You will be on the North Shore of the lake. Stay on the North Shore. DO NOT CROSS OVER THE LAKE. Go past Division Dr., the Stanfield Cutoff, the public launch ramp and the Forestry Station. About ½ mile past the Forestry Station look for the sign that says Serrano Camp Ground and Meadows Edge Picnic Area. This will be a left turn lane. Turn left.
