Westville lake is a moderate fishing spot. There is a boat ramp and plenty of shore line that is undeveloped, and it makes it easy to fish. Largemouth and smallmouth bass are present along with some Pike. Panfish are the most abundant. Trout also run into the lake from the spring stocking of the Quinnebaug River which runs into the lake. The concrete fishing pier is probably one of the better places to fish because the bass like to hug around the few down trees that are near it. Topwater baits like the zara spook, and any popper are great to use around dusk in the summer.
