This lake is very pretty and easy to navigate due to its small size. No combustion-engine boats are allowed, but paddling folks enjoy it very much and people w/ trolling motors can as well. I have been twice to this lake to fish for trout from my kayak. There is no fee to launch your own boat. If you are going there to fish, go during the week if you can, or hit the lake before sun rise. At 10am the crowds arrive and start renting paddling boats at the lake and by lunch time the small lake is full of boats. Trout run to the deepest part of the lake at mid-morning (August 2005) and refuse to return to the surface until dusk, but because the water is still warm, not as many trout are biting at dusk than during the cool hours of the morning.

You can also camp along side the lake (for a fee) and the lake has bathrooms in good working condition.
