This river located in the heart of Chattooga Co. (Summerville) is a rather small river by comparison to it's counterparts that also flow into Lake Weiss, AL. (Coosa and Little Rivers) However, don't let the size fool you. You can fish in the spring time up the river near the Mount Vernon Mills Dam for nice Crappie, or in the summer and fall all along its banks for nice Largemouth and Catfish. Some record Gar have also been cought from its currents. A very nice retreat from the lake scene, this river has something for everyone.
