Loch Raven is a fairly large man made lake, with several types of fish. Although there is plenty of parking for bank fishing, best results are from a boat. There is a boat launch, but due to zebra muscles you may only put in a boat that has never been elsewhere. Located on Dulaney Valley rd. The lauch offers rentals available from 6a-6p. The cost of rental is $31.00 no mater if you rent the full 12 hours or for 1 minute. aluminum & wodden boats have 1.5 minkota eletrics, with extra batteries costing $5.00 each, or you can row for $27.00. The fishing center offers topographical maps of the lake, but some of the best fishing is right in the centers cove. Other good spots include, Feather Island, Pierces Plantation, the Dulaney Golf Course, and the Loch Raven Drive bridge. All offer plenty of man made and natural habitat, that makes for some exciting fishing.
