The Captain
Captain Doug Blakeslee has been fishing the Chesapeake Bay ever since he moved to Maryland 18 years ago.
He was tutored by his father in-law Captain 'Nick' Nicholson who owned the Evie-K since 1979.
Captain 'Nick' fished the Bay for 50 years before passing away in February 2001. Captain Doug is now applying all he has learned to keep the Evie-K and fishing in the family.

The Boat
Evie-k is a classic 40'x12' wooden Bay built. She was built in 1969 and has been superbly maintained through the years. A 318 Chrysler powers her through the Bay. Her lay out is spacious which makes fishing 6 people pleasant and comfortable. The cabin has hot and cold running water, a dinette, a stand up head, and a v berth.
Fishing Area
Evie-k is kept in Annapolis on Mill Creek. Hacketts Point is just outside the Creek. This area is a good spot for White Perch, Hardhead, Spot, and Rockfish. The Chesapeake Bay Bridge is a short run and is home to Rockfish, Bluefish, Sea Trout, and others. Farther North the Bay has many lumps and shoals to provide a wide verity of locations to try. When we head south Tollies is one of the premier bottom fishing spots in the Upper Chesapeake Bay. Even farther south is a place we locals call the "Hill". The Hill is where we chum for Rockfish and for the most part have good success.
