Company Description

Daily Day & Evening Fishing Trips Supplies Included - Bay Tours - Lodging

Enjoy some of the best Sportfishing on the Chesapeake Bay off Maryland's scenic Eastern Shore with "Sawyer Fishing Charters". Hoopers Island, a quaint waterman's village is located in Southern Dorchester County, approximately a 2 hr. drive from Washington DC/Baltimore, and 2 1/2 hrs. from Philadelphia, PA.

The Middle to Lower Bay area offers the best fishing, with trophy striped bass in record size, from a minimum length of 18" up to 40". The season for striped bass runs from April through November. Size and quantity limits vary during the season. Trout and hardhead (croakers) are extremely plentiful as well as blues and an occasional flounder. In the Spring & Fall seasons, we troll for Trophy striped bass and chum and bottom fish during the Summer with great results.

We offer full day trips at $560 for up to 8 people which last 6-8 hrs. and leaved dock at either 6 a.m. or 2 p.m.; Half-day trips are $440 for up to 8 people. Our popular Summer Evening fishing trips which leave dock at 5 p.m. are $50 per person for groups of 8 or more. These are excellent for taking the wife and kids! Prices include license, bait, tackle and ice.

Also offered are scenic cruises to areas such as Smith Island (access by water only, where you may explore the small island via golf cart or bicycle, visit the museum and dine at a waterfront restaurant); or visit the shops and museums of Solomons Island on the western shore; and other points of interest along the Bay.
