If you're think about a truly unique experience that includes world-class fishing, native culture and rich history, we'd love to have you as our guest. We can't offer you deluxe accommodations or fancy amenities, but we can provide you and your party with an outdoors adventure that is beyond belief!
We're Hook-M-Up Fishing Adventures. Our base camp is located at the mouth of the Aniak River and only a short flight by commercial airlines from Anchorage. We have an out camp located on the Kuskokwim River.
Hook-M-Up is a family-run operation living in the last frontier. We've lived here for almost 20 years. We enjoy sharing our homestead lifestyle with people from all around the world. We are the Wooderson Clan: Woody, Jeannie and Karrina Wooderson, and Caroline Kuamme. We all work at one of our camps to make sure everybody gets the great adventure they came to Alaska for. One of our partners and friend from Moses Lake, WA, is Alan Chlarson. He comes up several weeks during the summer to assist in guiding.
Sportsfishing is fairly new to the Kuskokwim region. The river system covers about 52,000 square miles of Southwestern Alaska, originating from silt-laden glacial streams converging with fast, clear tributaries from the Alaska Range. The fish don't shy away from a fly or barbless, single hook. We have great fun!
Put simply, it is a fisher's paradise, offering trophy salmon, arctic grayling, arctic char, sheefish, northern pike and rainbow trout. All can be caught from our boats, from the shore, or in shallow water with waders. We may also take you to a variety of nearby tributaries for some of the greatest "untouched" fishing in the world.
Our fishing camps are rustic yet practical, featuring floored and walled tent cabins or cabins for up to 10 guests. We have running water for showers and a sauna to help you relax after a long day on the river. The electricity is provided by our own generator.
We feature home-cooked meals, with vegies fresh from our garden when ready, fresh air and all the vast wilderness you can take in. Come visit us! We'd love to meet you.
