There are only 50 U.S.F.S permits issued for Upper Rogue which keeps this 35 mile section of river pristine and unspoiled. As a holder of this coveted permit, I can take you on premier fishing trips all year round for any of 2 runs of steelhead, 3 runs of salmon, and some of the best half pound steelhead on the west coast.
Marc now holds the coveted Forest Service permit for the scenic upper Chetco. Only a few guide permits are issued for this wild and protected portion of the river where plenty of salmon and steelhead go.
To ensure your best opportunity, Marc also holds guide permits for California which means the Smith River. Many times of the year when rains blow out rivers to the north, the Smith remains clear and fishable. Having permits for all rivers in the area means Marc will always take you to the best spot to hookup that trophy catch.
You will be provided with friendly instruction on how to present the bait, what a bite feels like and how to play the fish. We supply Loomis rods, Shimano Quantum reels, and all bait and tackle.
A list of equipment you may want to bring includes rain gear, warm clothes, waterproof boots, hat, gloves, sunscreen, sunglasses, and of course the camera.
