MARK CURRIE has been recognized as one of Quebec’s top leading tournament fishermen for the past ten years.
He has over thirty finishes in the top three, and many more in the top ten.
In 1992 he obtained a prestigious “Triple Crown”, consisting of Angler of the Year, Team of the Year, and the Classic Champion.
The following years were no different with him adding six more Team of the Year awards and three more Angler of the Year awards to his credit.
Advanced Bassin' Plus is a highly experienced Tournament Bass Fisherman and Instructional Fishing Guide, specializing in Smallmouth & Largemouth Bass in and around the Montreal region of Quebec.
The magnificent scenery can only be lost in the tremendous fisheries this region has to offer.
Over fifteen years of knowledge on lakes and rivers such as Lake St-Louis, Lake of Two Mountains, Lake St-Francis, Ottawa River, St-Lawrence River, Lake Memphremagog, or Lake Champlain, will assure fishing memories to last a lifetime.
He has been written up several times by local papers in the Montreal area, and by Sentier Chasse et Peche magazine for the classic win in 1992.
As well he has contributed by writing articles on both smallmouth and largemouth bass for local papers and other websites. Television shows, pro seminars, radio talk shows and interviews also add to his list of accomplishments.
He is sponsored by “Pure Fishing”, which includes well known companies such as; Berkley, Fenwick, Abu Garcia, Red Wolf, Coleman, Johnson, Mitchell, Spidercast and Spiderline.
Many years of tournament fishing has left him with one very important asset, “Versatility”.
By being able to adapt to any changes that may occur during the course of a day, means being paid at the end of the tournament.
In his last complete year on the Quebec circuits, out of eleven events fished, eleven pay checks were cashed on Monday morning.
With education being the main goal he strives for, a day on the water with him will prove to be a learning experience and a memorable one as well.
By understanding the behavioral patterns of the fish, you will learn how to trigger them into striking many different lures under many different conditions. The tournament techniques that he has developed and refined over the years will be taught to you, as you battle some of the toughest swimming freshwater species of fish.
