Trout fishing has been hit and miss in West Bay with boxes of trout averaging 20 fish. I've been in East Bay a couple of times picking up some pretty good trout the best of which was a 7 lb 10 oz beauty caught by Connie Brunner on my girls team (Mary Covington, and Mary (Precious) Denson) to win Lingerie On The Bay, topping 258 other lady anglers.

Tripletail fishing has also been great with fish averaging 15 lbs .

I've still got some openings in August for Rockport trips and plenty of dates in July. Call me and we'll go get'em.

Directions: From Austin: Take Bastrop Hwy East which becomes SR-71 East/South. Stay on SR-71 past El Campo. Look for FM 1468 15 miles South of El Campo. Turn left on FM 1468 to Markham. Turn left on SR-35 East. In Bay City turn right and Take SR-60 South to Matagorda.

From Dallas: Take I-45/US-75 South to Houston

From Houston: Take US-59 South to Wharton. Then take SR-60 south thru Bay City to Matagorda.

From San Antonio: Take I-10 East to SR-71 East/South. Stay on SR-71 past El Campo. Look for FM 1468 15 miles South of El Campo. Turn left on FM 1468 to Markham. Turn left on SR-35 East. In Bay City turn right and Take SR-60 South to Matagorda.

In Matagorda: As you enter the city of Matagorda you will see Matagorda Harbor on the left. Turn left into the harbor, go over the levee and turn left to go to boat house D or right to the bait camp. Ask Tommy at which of the locations you will meet.
