We undoubtedly have some of the best trout fishing in Missouri, if not the best in the Midwest. Whether guests are novice, "Snoopy fishing pole" anglers or advanced fly fishermen, we aim to offer them top-quality lodging, fly and bait shop tackle and professional guide service.
Boating
Lake Taneycomo isn't a warm-water lake.... not conducive for swimming and waterskiing. But we do offer the best in fiberglass, river jons, perfect for navigating the lake in search for our elusive trophy trout. They are stable boats, with easy-to-start reliable motors. Pontoon boats are also available for rent.
Our trout shop has everything a person needs to learn the "how to" and procure "the means to" catchtrout in Lake Taneycomo. These pages give complete information on the history of our lake, where to fish, and even advice for the novice trout fisherman.
Lilleys carries the largest line of artificial baits on Lake Taneycomo -- rooster tails, cleos, buoyant spoons, 30 types of flat fish, a full line of rapalas, blue fox and rogues for big browns. We also carry marabou crappie and trout jigs in all the colors trout love.
We also sell a wide variety of fly fishing tackle and gear, as well as fly tying material and equipment. We have employed local tyers who specialize in local trout-catching flies, custom to only Lake Taneycomo, such as sow bugs, beaded nymphs, emergers and an assortment of dries. Also, material for our custom flies to "match-the-hatch" such as dubbing material, hackle and hooks are stocked in our shop.
In our bait department, we have night crawlers, Berkley's power bait, salmon eggs -- and minnows in season.
We stock an array of line, hooks, sinkers and any other equipment a fisherman needs to go after our beautiful rainbow and brown trout, as well as all.
