i had a great time fishing for Atlantic bonito. It s a great fighter and i ve spent over 30 minutes fighting for a large one which i caught from seashore with my spinning rod on a .35 mm line. i use silver finished lures. They work at Best.

I had never caught any bonito until this past Friday, March 11, 2005. Fly's seem to work rather well, I caught 4 bonito's on one line, rather exciting considering I never had any luck before Friday. But my brother-in-law was catching them with a lure also.

I have caught this fish, Bonito/Bonita in puerto Vallarta and it tastes great. No specific tip. Easy to real in. Not a fighter.
