All you need to catch AJ with is squid. With the squid you catch small Red, Mutton, and Mingo Snapper. Then when you are ready to drop a line for some AJ. You could do this or if you want you can use the traditional method by using pinfish,or croaker but I found this a more effective method. The thing you have to be careful about not using live bait because the AJ wont bite it.
