By using an electric reel outfitted with either braided line or wire, you can drop a rig that consists of about 5 circle hooks down to 500 feet to 1500 feet. If you look for an underwater formation, red snapper usually hang around there along with grouper and tilefish. Use a combination of ballyhoo chunks and squid on each hook. You need about a 6 pound weight or more depending on the current and the depth.
