P-Line Halo Fluorocarbon Line

The future of fluorocarbon fishing line is Co-Fluoride which blends various pure fluorocarbon crystals. This gives anglers the best combination of strength, sensitivity, castability and invisibility under water. Halo has a higher specific gravity, giving the line a much faster sink rate. Available in mist green. 200 yard sppols.

  • One of the worst lines I have ever fished...  March 28, 2011

I spooled up my favorite jig rod with some 12LB Halo while I was pre-fishing for a Tournament on Clearlake, Ca. I stopped fishing with that rod in less than an hour because of the Halo. Backlashes, weird twists, kinks in the line, etc... I let it all out and drug it behind the boat for a good 10 minutes (to get any twists out). Reeled it in and it was just as bad as before. That night in my hotel room, I stripped off all the Halo and re- spooled with Regular 12LB P-Line Fluorocarbon (my normal line for that rod), and I fished that same rod in the tournament the next day and it performed perfectly, not a single backlash, no issues at all. I knew I would never use Halo again. A few weeks ago, I was out fun fishing with a friend and he kept breaking fish off. I noticed the light green line he had spooled and I asked if it was Halo. It was, And now he wont use it ever again either. I talked to some P-Line guys at a ISE show and they were suprised. I like the regular P-Line, I do not like Halo. Maybe I had a bad spool and maybe my friend had one as well. Regardless, your line is one of the most important parts of your tackle. It doesn't matter how well they bite if you keep breaking them off. And spending your day picking out a backlash is not what I call a good time.
