When trolling for bluefin tuna is slow, try running a couple of bare rigged horse ballyhoo on your long rigger lines. Get them out "scary" long. When you think they are out there too far, let them back another 25-30 feet. It's not a gaurantee, but can be affective when the fishing is a little "wide".

Aug/Sept 2006 caught 743, and 991 lb bluefin off north rustico pei. also 6 bluefin lost with longest fight being 9.5 hours.
