Fishing Information

One night on Long Lake in Walhalla, MI, I caught 4 beautiful keeper largemouths. The largest one was 4-1/4 pounds. You can imagine that I was feeling pretty confident the next night when I took my pregnant wife with me. By the end of the night she had 5 keepers and I hadn't caught one fish! I guess my son is going to be a fisherman!

Personal Background

I have been married to Shell for five years and I have one son named Ethan. He is 10 months old. I started fishing seriously in about 1999. I fished for gills my whole life but it wasn't until I started fishing the Kalamazoo River for smallmouth bass that I really got hooked. Now I love to fish for bass, although steelhead fishing is a close 2nd. I am about to start my second year of seminary and I am the pastor of a church that meets in my house.

Boat Information

Boat name: Mirrorcraft.
14' aluminum with a 9.9 Evinrude and a 30 thrust Minnkota trolling motor. I use an Eagle fish finder.
