Falcon LowRider XG Casting Series

Falcon LowRider XG Casting Series You fish with a Falcon if you're serious about the sport; you fish with a Falcon because you never know what's waiting on the other end of your next cast. Your next opportunity may be the fish of a lifetime, or the fish that wins the tournament - the difference between being in the headlines or being listed as an also-ran.

Two-time FLW Angler of the Year, Clark Wendlandt fishes with Falcon Rods because the tournament or an entire season could be won or lost on the next cast. One of those times came last year in an FLW Tournament on South Carolina's Lake Murray.

On the first two days of the tournament the fish had come fast and easy. In fact, Clark had boated his limit of fish each day with the daily weigh-in total each day easily topping the twenty-pound mark.

But then, on the final day, the fish just quit biting, and Clark found himself fishing hard just to hang onto the tournament lead. "It was just one of those days when the fish were not biting well," Clark said, "and I was fishing a floating worm hoping to hook one good fish to secure the tournament win."

That's when he saw it. A big bass was following the floating worm, but the bait was quickly sinking out of sight into the murky water. Few would have caught the fish that day, but Clark was using his Falcon LowRider. He felt the soft, almost imperceptible tap and set the hook into the five-pound fourteen-ounce bass. Because of that fish, because of that rod, Clark went on to win the tournament and the 2000 FLW Angler of the Year title.

"I have no doubt I won that tournament because of my Falcon rod. No other rod has the sensitivity of a Falcon Low Rider," he said. "When I'm fishing floating worms, I can catch fish others would have missed."

Clark uses Falcon Rods because you need every possible advantage over the fish as well as the competition.
